The brief was to create a wall feature for a Greek restaurant. The resulting idea was influenced by name of the restaurant “Meet the Greek”. The studio’s idea was to create a sculpture that was a compilation of Greek names and locations by laser cutting interconnected typography out of wood. Four separate 10 ft high laser cut layers of wood were spaced apart from each other. The final result is a stunning typographic wall sculpture forming the shape of Greece mainland and surrounding islands of Greece. The sculpture was then lit from above, to form beautiful typographic shadows.
