Working with a team of creatives to bring the vision of the restaurant to life, including Jonathan Barthelmess – Manly Pavilion, with Longrain’s Sam Christie and architect George Livissianis. The studio’s creative challenge was to align classicism and rustic charm with an urban edge. The solution used modernist typography with a 1930’s echo. The studio tested the use of bold fluorescent ink as a branding colour, printing silk screen on simple box board. The menu needed to updateable; a solution was to brand a robust, heavy backing-board combined with in-house printed sheets – updated daily and fastened with an industrial stationery clip.
