Client: Infinite Interactive

As a lead artist with Infinite Interactive, my role is to conceptualise a video game’s population and environment. Here with the crew of the Crimson Star, I had to transform two of the licensees benevolent character archetypes into the nefarious villains, Captain Cruciblack and Greeble.
The challenge is in creating a natural correlation between a character’s physical form and personality, working from what is often little more than a name or brief description. The excitement for me is when an illustration produces a kind of ‘narrative feedback’ that in turn inspires the very story from which it is drawn.
